Recovery Now
Recovery is the guiding vision for mental health – and mental health services – in the 21st century. It means new hope ... new relationships ... new possibilities. Come and learn how services are embracing the recovery vision and how you can make this empowering and compassionate vision active in your own life or work.
Please find attached a combined flyer and registration form for Recovery Now – a conference hosted by the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, United Survivors Support Centre, and Durham Mental Health Services with the generous support of Seamless Care Pharmacy. It takes place on April 26, 2010 at the Whitby Centennial Building (416 Centre Street South, Whitby). If you have faced or currently face challenges to your own wellbeing or if you help support someone who does, then this conference is for you!
Speakers include representatives from:
• Durham Mental Health Services
• Ontario Peer Development Initiative
• Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences
• Schizophrenia Society of Ontario
• Stand Up for Mental Health – The Self-Help Alliance of Waterloo Wellington
• United Survivors Support Centre
Lunch and refreshments will be provided by CMHA-Markham Road’s Yamaha Café. The cost for the day is $15.00. To register, contact Claudette Kellam by e-mail at (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or by phone at 905-666-0831, or by fax at 905-666-2976.
